Predict, Prevent, Prove: why we refocused Impact

Jordan Gilchrist·August 9, 2026

Static grades, lint rules and one-repo issue counts used to be a product. Today every coding agent ships them for free. So we stopped competing there.

Impact Code Analysis is refocused around a single loop the graders can't close:

  • Predict where your system breaks next — across repos, before you merge.
  • Prevent it landing — in the pull request, not at 3am on launch day.
  • Prove the call was right — a ledger of prevented incidents, in dollars.

Everything we build now serves that loop, and it all renders on one surface: the Living System Map. Over the next two weeks we'll walk through each piece — blast radius, contract drift, health forecast, the outcome ledger, and the agent-native MCP server.

If you grade code, you're describing the past. We're in the business of the next incident.
